There is a Safeway (grocery store) that is on Rural and Broadway that you could probably walk to. However, Changing Hands is a little too far to walk to in my opinion. It's around 5 miles and lately it's been in the mid to upper 90s here.
I'm so excited but stressed as well. Finals are killing me--I had to write five papers this last week and I still have two more due on Wednesday! Plus three finals this week and two next week! Augh. But seriously, it's going to be so much fun!
Are you going to dye your hair to go as someone from Twilight?
ugh...i need to go to changing hands though...im 20 so i cant rent a car or anything.
anyway...yea im gonna try to dress like victoria. im not entering contests or anything, i just wanted to dress up as someone. woulda been better if i could have gotten my hands on some contacts, but ah well.
I am sorta going as Victoria too... I also don't have contacts.
And yeah, Changing Hands is a bit far to walk... like I wouldn't even think of trying.
You are both my fantastic Victorias. Weeeeee!!!!! Pssssh, and no James. Laurent gets both Victorias for himself! Mwahahaha!
Do you just need to pick up your tickets there? Cause I'm pretty sure they're supposed to have a Will Call table at the prom. When are you arriving? Depending on when you need to go there, I might be able to give you a ride down to Changing Hands, however, I am driving down to Tucson (two hours away from Tempe) either Friday night or Saturday morning to pick up a friend for the E-Prom, so the timing might be hard. Plus, I have a noon final on Friday.
well, i kind of wanted to go just to check out the book store and also pick up my tickets while im there. if it ends up not being possible, then it's OK, but it would be nice to be able to go there. i guess if i really HAD to go there i could take a taxi or wait on the bus (i remember someone saying there is a bus, but it only run every 30 minutes or so?).
oh well, i'll just see what happens. :)
It's a really cool bookstore. It's not far, so if you took a cab, it probably wouldn't be that much, I think? I'm not sure, cause I never take them. The bus does run every 30 minutes--I'm not sure what routes there are though. If you look up phoenix metro transit online you can calculate routes I know though.
Oh, and I definitely just thought about my ride offer and realized that it was probably creepy cause I know I'd be weirded out by some stranger offering me a ride as well.
We'll be getting to Tempe EARLY EARLY Friday morning. (only early cuz we gotta get up and out the door around 5am here in atlanta. x_x).
I think our hotel offers a shuttle though to take us. I'm not entirely certain, however. (*adds "Call hotel to inquire about this" onto her to-do list*).
There's also a market in the MU, and they have shampoo, conditioner, aand, I believe, toothpaste.
Yeah but they're way over priced.
I remember buying shampoo there once...and paying way too much for it. x.x
Still...if you need it and have nowhere else to get it, it works? :P
I seriously have so much freaking M&G... if someone needs shampoo or ANYTHING from the market in the school... I'll just buy it for you. I need to use the money!
♥ I'm excited to meet you! :)
And...on a carry-on, you are allowed to have some liquids, but they have to be in a 3oz or less sized bottle. And it can't be something like toothpaste that's had the tube rolled down far enough that it makes it 3oz.
Then the little containers have to be put in a 1 quart sized zipper-seal baggie. I think you can have like...six or seven containers in one bag. One baggie per person and it has to be put in one of those little tray thingies when you go through security.
lol yeah. But what's easy is if you go to walgreens or any other drugstore, you can find the small travel-sized tubes of toothpaste.
Don't forget the hotels have those little bottles of shampoo and conditioner too. lol
And just adding this on the side: You can take water bottles through security. They just have to be void of any liquid. XD
